A former media baron has just listed his luxury eastern suburbs mansion with a guide nudging $30m amid news of a $20m sale nearby last night. The listing is the six-bedroom grand estate at 8 Rosemont Ave, Woollahra of former media baron Charles Curran, which has a $29m guide via Pillinger principal Brad Pillinger and Sotheby’s boss Michael Pallier. And the sale is 9 Wallaroy Rd, Woollahra, for $19.7m — the home of philanthropic locals Fiona Martin-Weber and JB Were’s Tom Hayward — through Adam Reichman and Elliott Placks of Ray White Double Bay. The couple are upgrading to a contemporary Bruce Stafford-designed $35m home on a 677sqm block at 23 Victoria Rd, Bellevue Hill that was sold by the family of property developer Eduard Litver via the same agents March.
